I need to buy tickets for four people (I know there's a two ticket limit for the box office, but I can get someone to come with me). I'm wondering if I should go to get the day seat tickets from the box office and where the box office is (everybody seems to know except me)? Or if I should get the tickets from somewhere else. Oh yeah, what time should I get there and...forgot the rest.
Please give me good answers people :)
Answer :
Depends what day you go. Saturdays tend to be pretty busy, though matinee tickets are a lot easier to get than evening. You may want to be there about an hour before they open, so about 9ish? Don't worry about finding the box office - if you're facing the theatre from the station, it's to the right of the foyer up the steps.
During the week I think you can get away with being there about 11. Though of course it is coming up to Christmas, so it'll be more busy than usual.

It is so hard to get tickets to Wicked the Musical- you'll have to do cancellation line if you're trying to get them the day of. You can't be sure of how many tickets you're going to get (you can try to buy as many as you want) and you are most likely going to be paying over $100 per ticket.
There is also lotto, which you can try, but there are no guarantees. Each day, two hours prior to show time (11:30 AM for 2 PM matinees; 12:30 PM for 3 PM matinees; 4:30 PM for 7 PM performances; 5:30 PM for 8 PM performances), people who present themselves at the Gershwin Theatre box office will have their names placed in a hat. Thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for 28 front-row seats at $26.50 each. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of 2 tickets per person, cash only. I'm not exactly sure where the box office is, since I've never seen the London production- but I'm sure it's not very hard to find.
Enjoy the show!!
